TIME TO PLAY IN THE SNOW......

Last year was the first time that I learned how to snowboard and I had a blast learning. So naturally, when my friends called me to go, I was excited to try it again, only this time in Canada. It was as fun as I remember and I even did some 'carving', so I have seen some improvement. I already have a snowboarding date set up for when I return to Korea -- which by the way is in only one week.............ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Tonight for dinner we had ham, cabbage rolls, sausage and perogies.................it was delicious!!!

I ate too much so I had to rest

We went to church at 7:00 -- it was very pleasant!!!!

Then we changed into on pajama's, watched The Christmas Story on T.V. and opened ONE present from under the tree.

ONE CRAZY NIGHT!!!!!

I thought I would post these dog pictures because the whole time I was in Korea I didn't see any big dogs. These dogs are part of a special family -- since my aunt and uncle don't have any kids, these dogs have become their babies.

After dinner I went over to my professors house for a drink -- she is so neat and I love talking with her. It is so funny how we get along so well. She is a great lady and I aspire to be like her one day. In Korea it is very rare that two people of different age groups associate with each other (especially different social positions -- afterall I was her student). The more that I think about it, I feel sad that the Korean culture restricts who you can associate with simply on the basis of age. This is an intricate part of their society and there are many rules to follow when dealing with age differences. Anyways, I am thankful that I am able to have a special relationship with Lori.

So here we are. Yes, it is a horrible picture of both of us, but she is still the best prof in the world.

.......And where did we go??? We headed to the local gay and lesbian bar in our city where I got to see a drag show. For those of you Koreans who don't know what this is, it is when women dress up as men and men dress up as women (makeup and all).

WOW, I was impressed with this one. This is actually Lori's female friend dressed as a man. She did a good job, don't you think?

Today I got a sneak peak into a different world. I like to keep an open mind and try to experience new things; tonight was no exception!!!!!!!

PARTY AT THE PARENTS.....2 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!!

Oh what a day.......

....... I decided to surprise my mom while she was at work so I prepared, plated and cooked all the food that we had planned for our annual Christmas house party. It took me all day, but I certainly had a blast.

Then my friend Kristin came over and we exchanged Christmas gifts. It was hard for her to shop for me because it had to be small enough to pack with me to Korea. She got me some LaSenza panties and little food mix packages that I could take to Korea, when I had a craving for Western food.

And then at 7:30 the guests started to arrive. Every year the Wards come over after they do a sparkle tour of the city. Basically they drive around too see all the pretty Christmas lights. Then they come to our house for some drinks and munchies. This year I even planned some games for us to play.

Okay so this post is a little old, since we decorated the house about 3 weeks ago. But at least I have gotten the pictures up before Christmas.
