A weekend treat!

I'm back from my honeymoon. My trip was so amazing that I'll never ever fully be able to describe how wonderful it was. I'll have to let the pictures do all the talking. I'll save that for another post.

About a week before I left on my honeymoon I took a little side trip to Socho (Seoraksan -- a really cool National park) with my good friend Amy. Trying to save a little cash we decided to try couch surfing. Basically Amy sent out a few emails to people asking if they would be willing to host us for 3 nights. We ended up staying with a husband and wife and their two small boys from the US who are also teaching in Korea, just like us! And wow, all I can say is that they were so welcoming and did way more then we ever expected! Thanks Catherine (and family)!!!!!!

Day two was beach day. Although the weather wasn't nice enough to actually go swimming we still enjoyed hanging out by the water. And the weather certainly didn't stop these Koreans from enjoying their tubing time.

EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE PART 1

Part 1 of exciting news to share has to do with our honeymoon!

WE'RE GOING TO BALI!!!!!!!

For the first 3 days we will be staying in a completely private villa. Catering services and back messages will come to us. Hello, just look at the pictures

Then we've decided to spend the next 3 nights at a resort

How can I connect three random pictures and tell a story:
Crazy rainy season is here. Rain, rain, rain and then some more. Luckily we've had nice weather the past week! But last week the Han River overflowed and swallowed up some biking paths

Speaking of bikes........these are the Pizza Hut delivery service bikes looked up for the night

Speaking of pizza delivery service..........here is a picture I took from my computer tracking how long it would take for the pizza to arrive at my door. Just 4 minutes and 31 seconds left. Domino's pizza, I love you ;)

Mud Festival

I have been going to the Mud Festival every year since I've been in Korea. And I've always had a good time. Check it out here and here and here. Each experience has been completely different yet still completely fun. It certainly was different this time mostly because we didn't get muddy.

The KTX (high speed train) ride is always exciting

And then of course Sung Hyun has to bring along some snacks. Fried chicken and ice cream.........ummmm what a great combination!

This one is for Alisa.........who couldn't make it to mudfest this year. We had a momosa (champagne and a little OJ) for you!

First stop was to meet up with all our friends who had a few hours to roll around in the mud. The awesome soju gun!

Then randomly we met up with Diana and her fiance Min Gi. And we invited them to our room for a few drinks. What a fun couple!

The next day we were going to hit up the beach and get all dirty, but it was so crappy outside and no one was on the beach. The wind was so crazy so we parked out butt in a coffee shop.

We watched the crazy Koreans in the water

And listened to Sung Hyun try to serenade us
