Vacation Travel Plans!

On Thursday December 24th, one day before Christmas, Sung Hyun and I will board a plane and venture to Bangkok Thailand for a winter getaway. We will be gone for 28 days total and plan on hitting up a few amazing places along the way.

Here's what we're thinking:

THAILAND!! A few nights in Bangkok to see some of the palaces. Perhaps a little jaunt to an island for a few days of relaxing in the sun. OR maybe a jungle trek up north.
CAMBODIA!! This is a definite MUST. I have been wanting to go to Ankor Wat for a while now. This is what I'm looking forward to the most.

LAOS!! We are also thinking about heading into Laos because I've heard so many beautiful things about the people.

AND I'M DEFINITELY UP FOR SUGGESTIONS. ANYONE??

This certainly won't top a Christmas at home (my favourite time of the year) surrounded by family and friends BUT I'm sure it will come a close second!

Concert

I went to a free concert on Friday and watched about 8 performers. Among them some pretty famous names including SHINEE and Brown Eyed Girls. I wasn't really impressed with either of these two groups but the concert certainly was entertaining none the less.

Here is SHINEE singing Ring Ding Dong. This one is for Gabrielle, who's in love with Kpop.

Bowling Good-bye

My good friends Shane and YooJeong are leaving to immigrate back to Canada mid-December. I have seen Shane transform from a carefree party guy into a responsible family man all within a few years. I wish them both the best as they venture out to start a new life in Vancouver. Thanks for all the good times you two ;)

Sunday November 15th -- A (freezing) day at Seoul Land!

Fun with Becca

In the 4 years I've spent in Korea I have never taken self-portraits even though cute little do-it-yourself photo shops are set up EVERYWHERE. Becca and I had a few minutes to spare one night so we popped into one, paid our $5 and had a go. Silly posses and the opportunity to decorate your photos equals one fun experience. For those of you who haven't done this yet, I say give it a go!

I love my Korean family. They are really wonderful. On Saturday Sung Hyun and I took mom out for dinner. Here we are enjoying our feast.

A weekend away!

Jon and Eve are back!

Last weekend a group of us ventured out to 산청 to visit our friends Jon and Eve who just returned from a year trip back home. It was great to be in the country side and BREATH IN THE FRESH AIR!!!

They were excellent hosts and cooked us a morning feast both nights we stayed
